Model 36 Lounge Chair, Bruno Madsen (Sweden 1936).
Constructed from laminated beech with a woven hemp seat, this chair employs a pressure-bonded system made possible by a newly developed casein-based adhesive. The method provides joints of sufficient strength without the application of heat. The frame allows the hemp to be fixed at variable angles to ensure structural support. The headrest is made of fabric.
