Product description
A set of two chairs, model 315, designed by the influential Indonesian-Dutch designer Kho Liang Ie. This design is a characteristic example of post-war Dutch design, where functionality and a clear, sculptural form come together.
These chairs are made with a black metal frame that provides a stable and slender base. The seat is upholstered in dark blue skai, while the backrest and the characteristic, wing-shaped armrests are made of warm-toned wood. The combination of materials creates an elegant contrast and a timeless aesthetic representative of Kho Liang Ie's designs from that period.
The set is in good, vintage condition, consistent with its age and use. The materials show an authentic patina that contributes to the chairs' character. The construction is solid, and the chairs retain their original appearance.
Thanks to their refined and compact silhouette, these chairs are versatile. They function excellently as dining chairs, as extra seating in a living room, or as stylish objects in an office or reception area. The design seamlessly fits into an interior with a preference for Mid-Century Modern and Dutch Design.
