About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A Minolta XE-5 analog SLR camera, a classic model from the 70s, known for its robust build quality and advanced electronics for its time. This model was the result of a collaboration between Minolta and Leica and shares technology with the Leica R3, making it a sought-after item among connoisseurs of vintage Photography.
This set consists of the XE-5 body, manufactured in Japan with a combination of metal and a black leather finish. The camera offers aperture-priority automatic exposure for ease of use. The set is completed by a versatile collection of lenses: a Minolta MD W.ROKKOR 35mm f/2.8, a Minolta MC W.ROKKOR-SG 28mm f/3.5 wide-angle lens, and a Minolta MC TELE ROKKOR-QF 200mm f/3.5 telephoto lens. In addition, a Konura Telemore 95 2x teleconverter and a set of extension tubes are included for macro Photography or extended reach.
Both the camera and lenses are in good vintage condition, consistent with their age and use. The mechanical parts appear intact and the lenses are clear. The set shows the characteristic patina of a well-used photographic instrument, which contributes to its authentic appearance.
This comprehensive Minolta set is an excellent choice for analog Photography enthusiasts looking for a reliable and historically significant camera system. It is a piece of photographic history that is still capable of capturing characterful images.
