This Mini-Jib wall lamp is a unique creation, designed and manufactured in my workshop as a tribute to the spirit of Jean Prouvé.
Jean Prouvé (1901-1984), a wrought-iron worker by training (like me), became one of the most influential designers and architects of the 20th century. His philosophy was simple: combine technical ingenuity with functional beauty, eliminating the superfluous.
Among his most emblematic creations is the JIB wall lamp, inspired by sailboat rigging: a streamlined arm, held in place by a single steel cable, as light and elegant as a sail in the wind.
My Mini-Jib reinterprets this idea in a personal way.
Its ivory color evokes the elegance of sails.
The mottled gray textile cable recalls ropes and the nautical spirit.
A tubular steel arm (dating from the '30s) supports an antique black enamelled reflector, adjustable to direct the light exactly where it's needed.
The lamp is lit by a brass key switch integrated into the reflector socket, and comes with 2 meters of textile cable for easy connection.
