Product description
This object is a characteristic glass artwork by the Czech designer Miloslav Klinger, a master of Bohemian glass from the mid-twentieth century. The piece embodies the organic modernist aesthetic for which Klinger and the Zelezny Brod Sklo (ZBS) glassworks were known, with a sculptural form and vibrant use of color. The small bowl is made of thick, heavy crystal glass, hand-formed into a rounded, square shape. The color is a deep, clear amber-yellow hue that beautifully catches and reflects light, accentuating the internal depth of the glass. This type of thick-walled, hand-worked glass is a signature of post-war Czechoslovakian glass art and demonstrates a high level of craftsmanship. The overall condition of the object is excellent, retaining its original clarity and luster. It shows character befitting a carefully preserved vintage item, without significant signs of wear that would diminish its aesthetic value. The integrity of the glass is completely intact.
