Product description
This set, consisting of an armchair and a footstool, is a replica of the iconic Barcelona design by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. The design, originally created for the German Pavilion at the 1929 World Exhibition, is a prime example of the Bauhaus movement and remains a symbol of modern design.
The set features a chromed steel frame, which has the characteristic crossed shape. The cushions are upholstered in black leather and feature the characteristic tufting with buttons. The supporting straps of the armchair are black, while those of the footstool are cream-colored. This combination of materials creates a timeless and refined look.
The overall condition of the set is good, with signs of wear consistent with its age and use. The set retains its structural integrity and the leather has a character that testifies to its history. The footstool is supplied without a cushion; only the frame is present.
This armchair and footstool form a stylish addition to various interiors, from modern to eclectic. The set can serve as a comfortable reading chair in a living room or as an elegant accent in an office or study.
