Product description
This impressive highboard is a design by the Belgian designer Alfred Hendrickx, produced in the 1960s. The piece of furniture embodies the essence of Mid-Century Modern design, characterized by clean lines and a functional aesthetic typical of that period.
Crafted from rich wood, presumably rosewood or teak, the cabinet displays a beautiful, continuous wood grain that adds warmth and character to the design. The piece consists of a wide base cabinet with three doors and a narrower top cabinet with two doors, creating an asymmetrical yet balanced silhouette. The minimalist, round metal handles provide a subtle contrast to the warm wood. Inside, the spacious compartments with adjustable shelves offer ample storage space.
The cabinet is in very good condition, befitting its age and careful use. The original finish has been beautifully preserved, and the wood has developed a rich patina over the years. The construction is solid, and all doors function properly.
This highboard is a versatile addition to various interiors, from vintage to contemporary. It not only offers practical storage space in a living room or dining room, but also serves as a striking statement piece that instantly gives the space character.
