Product description
Beautiful and iconic set of 3 nesting tables (Model 40) designed by the Danish architect Erling Torvits and manufactured by Heltborg Møbelfabrik in the 1950s/1960s.
This set features the highly sought-after organic, sculptural leg joins and cross-braces that make Torvits' work a true standout of the Danish Modern era.
Condition & Provenance:
Authenticity: 100% original. Fully stamped underneath the bottoms with both the official "Heltborg Møbler Danmark" crest, the "No 40" model stamp, and the "Danish Control" quality mark.
Stability: Structurally perfect. The joints are solid, and all three tables stand completely stable and are fully functional.
Aesthetics: The tables have recently been gently refreshed/restored to clean the wood and bring back the deep, warm glow of the vintage teak. Please note that they are not factory-new or flawless; they retain a genuine, honest vintage patina with minor signs of age and previous wear on the tabletops.
They present beautifully as authentic mid-century design icons.
A great opportunity to acquire a certified Danish design classic with a wonderful history and presence.
Dimensions (Largest table):
Height: 52 cm
Length: 56 cm
Depth: 36 cm
