Product description
This mid-century Scandinavian rocking chair presents a classic form defined by its solid wood construction and distinctive backrest. The piece exemplifies the functional yet decorative approach of mid-century design, featuring a carved floral motif that adds a touch of traditional craftsmanship to the otherwise clean lines.
Constructed from dark-stained pine, the chair features a shaped backrest with a central cutout and carved detailing. The frame includes curved armrests and rests on traditional rockers. The seat is fitted with a removable cushion pad upholstered in a striped fabric featuring tones of pink, green, and beige with a subtle botanical pattern. The overall silhouette is both sturdy and inviting, characteristic of Scandinavian furniture from this era.
The chair is in good condition, showing wear consistent with age and use. The wood retains its original finish, displaying a natural patina that enhances its character. The upholstery is intact and complements the dark wood frame.
This rocking chair is well-suited for a living room, reading nook, or nursery. Its blend of mid-century lines and traditional detailing allows it to integrate seamlessly into both rustic and eclectic interiors.
