Product description
Exclusive vintage design telephone made of solid onyx marble (circa 1960s/1970s)
An exceptional decorative object of timeless elegance: This magnificent desk telephone combines the opulent aesthetics of mid-century luxury with nostalgic charm. Crafted from exquisite, solid onyx marble and richly ornamented cast brass-effect details, it instantly draws attention as a majestic centerpiece on any desk, console, or in an entryway.
Fine Materials & Nostalgic Details
Solid Marble Body: The heavy base and the ergonomically shaped handset are carved from a single, solid block of genuine, naturally veined onyx marble. The soft base coloring in creamy white and ochre gives the natural stone a unique play of light.
Ornate casing: The curved hook and the ornamental embellishments on the front and back impress with their classic design in the Baroque Revival style.
Classic rotary dial: The central rotary dial with its curved embellishments evokes the unparalleled feeling of a bygone era of stylish communication.
For collectors & enthusiasts: Condition & patina
This item is expressly aimed at enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and collectors of genuine vintage treasures who appreciate the authentic character of history:
Patina with soul: The telephone exhibits a beautiful, age-appropriate patina as well as slight signs of wear on the metal surfaces, which impressively underscore its age and history.
Missing part: One of the two decorative brass bell cups of the historic ringing mechanism is missing from the back (see detailed photos).
Connection & use: The telephone is equipped with a historic, non-European original plug. Its technical functionality has not been tested and it is not compatible with modern plugs without an adapter. This piece is therefore offered explicitly for decorative purposes, as an exquisite prop, or as a fine collector's item.
