Product description
Mid-Century Modern Teak Extending Dining Table – 1960
Danish-Inspired Design • Scandinavian Influence • Beautiful Warm Teak
A beautifully designed Mid-Century Modern extending dining table, dating from circa 1960 and showcasing the timeless elegance of Danish-inspired design with a strong Scandinavian influence.
The table is crafted in beautifully warm teak, featuring a rich, naturally figured wood grain that gives the piece warmth, depth and character. The elegant oval-shaped tabletop creates a soft and inviting appearance, making it ideal for relaxed and sociable dining. Its clean and understated design reflects the refined simplicity that defines Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture.
The table stands on beautifully proportioned tapered cylindrical legs, adding a subtle sculptural element to the overall design. The combination of the softly rounded oval shape, warm teak and elegant leg design creates a sophisticated look that works effortlessly in both classic and contemporary interiors.
Thanks to its extending mechanism, the table is both practical and versatile. It can easily be extended when additional seating is required, while retaining its elegant proportions and clean lines. A wonderful example of the Mid-Century design philosophy, where functionality, simplicity and beautiful natural materials come together.
Perfect for a Mid-Century Modern, Danish, Scandinavian or contemporary interior, this stylish vintage table brings warmth, timeless design and authentic 1960s character to any dining space.
Condition
The table has been carefully maintained and is in good vintage condition, with some minor signs of use and age consistent with a piece from this period. These subtle imperfections add to its authentic vintage character.
