A stunning, very rare and signed vintage studio production art ceramic vase by Inger Persson for Rörstrand, Sweden. This is a studio production, thus rare, with a fantastic shape and glazing. As always, her work is simple and clean, yet so effective. The shape is classic and the pattern on the glazing is subtle, the colours are fantastic. The top part has a vibrant turquoise, contrasted with a warm brown unglazed body with black details in a simple pattern, which makes the vase so elegant and sophisticated. It is in very good condition. It is 9.5 cm high and 14 cm in diameter. Rörstrand is where tradition meets innovation, resulting in world-class production of mid-century modern pottery. Mentioning Lisa Larson, Stig Lindberg, Herta Bengtsson and Gunnar Nylund, one automatically associates those talented and prestigious designers with Rörstrand. Their contribution, as well as many other talented designers, rendered this company a position as one of the world's leading firms when it came to interesting and award-winning mid-century modern design.
