Product description
An iconic piece of Danish Mid-Century Modern design. Designed in 1963 by the legendary Jo Hammerborg and manufactured by the renowned Fog & Mørup in Denmark, the "Saturn" pendant light is a masterpiece of geometric shape and functional lighting.
This specific model features a sleek, concentric structure consisting of brushed aluminum cylinders complemented by a wide, matte charcoal/anthracite grey outer band. True to Hammerborg’s genius, the interior of the outer ring is painted in a vibrant cerise/pink tone, which casts a beautifully warm, soft, and glare-free glow when lit.
This premium vintage piece stands out as it retains both its original three-part white acrylic top diffuser and its heavy textured clear glass bottom diffuser, which scatters the light beautifully.
• Designer: Jo Hammerborg
• Producer: Fog & Mørup
• Model: Saturn
• Country of Origin: Denmark
• Period: 1960s / 1970s
• Condition: Near mint vintage condition. The aluminum structure is remarkably clean, and both the top acrylic and rare glass diffusers are fully intact without cracks or damage.
