Product description
Elegant vintage pull-down pendant light combining warm gold-toned brass and cream lacquered metal shade with a large, heavily textured pressed glass diffuser.
The lamp has a broad, shallow saucer-shaped metal shade surrounding a substantial clear glass diffuser. The glass features a dramatic faceted starburst pattern, designed to catch and refract the light, and is finished at the centre with a decorative gold-tone finial. Original metal ceiling canopy.
Its original retractable rise-and-fall mechanism allows the lamp to be pulled down when more focused illumination is required and raised again when not in use. This makes it particularly practical above a dining table or kitchen table, while also giving the lamp the distinctive functionality associated with European Mid-Century lighting.
The combination of the circular profile, gold-tone finish and geometric pressed glass gives the piece a character somewhere between Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency and 1960s–1970s European design.
The light is equipped with 2 E27 light bulb sockets, which allow for plenty of light.

Condition:
Pull down mechanism is original, thus represents some wear. The top side of the metal shade represents some small dents and scratching. Although, it won´t be visible when installed.
