About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This SE 68 dining chair was designed by renowned designer Egon Eiermann for the manufacturer Wilde + Spieth in the 1950s. The design is distinguished by its clean lines and the harmonious combination of organically shaped wood with a delicate metal frame, making it a true classic of Mid-Century Modern.
The seat and backrest are crafted from molded wood with a warm, brown hue that beautifully highlights the natural grain of the material. The structure is supported by a slender, chrome-plated metal frame, which lends the chair a sense of visual lightness. The visible rivets on the backrest and seat are characteristic details of this design.
The chair is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. Over the decades, the materials have developed an authentic patina that underscores the vintage character of the piece. The structural integrity is fully preserved, ensuring the chair remains fully functional.
This piece of furniture blends perfectly into modern or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. It is ideal as a stylish dining chair or as a striking standalone piece at a desk, where it brings a touch of design history to the room.
