Product description
This elegant sofa bed designed by Rito Valla for IPE Bologna in the 1960s is a beautiful example of Italian mid-century modern thinking, where smart functionality meets refined aesthetics. At first glance it presents itself as a clean-lined, understated sofa with a light visual presence thanks to its metal frame and balanced proportions. With one smooth and intuitive movement, it transforms into a bed, making it an ideal solution for both everyday living and occasional guests. Reupholstered in a soft grey melange fabric, the piece feels contemporary while fully respecting its original character. Its thoughtful design and high-quality construction reflect the innovation and craftsmanship that made Italian furniture of this era so influential and desirable.
