This extraordinary vase belongs to the celebrated "Piumato" series by Barovier&Toso, created around 1942 under the artistic direction of Ercole Barovier and considered one of the highest expressions of material and luminous experimentation in 20th-century Murano glass. The cylindrical body, with its monumental proportions, is entirely shaped from thick transparent crystal, enriched with complex hand-modeled relief applications that develop along the surface with a fluid, ascending movement, evoking light feathers or plant fronds, from which the series takes its name. The result is a masterful balance between technique and poetry, where the absolute transparency of the glass amplifies light and shadow, transforming the volume into an ethereal sculpture. The "Piumato" represents one of the peaks of Ercole Barovier's production, where the Murano glass tradition meets the modernity of artistic language, achieving results of rare elegance and sculptural power. Signed Diamond under the base, the vase is in excellent condition, with minimal signs of age typical of the period.
