Product description
This Danish table from the 1960s is a perfect example of Scandinavian design, where aesthetics stem from simple form and quality craftsmanship. Slender, tapering legs, a delicately contoured tabletop, and harmonious proportions give it a light character, making it suitable for both classic and contemporary interiors. This design reflects the spirit of mid-century modern, where functionality and timeless form play equally important roles. The table is crafted from teak, one of the most prized materials used in 20th-century Danish furniture, and is in very good original condition with minimal signs of use such as scratches and scuffs. The natural grain and warm color of the wood emphasize its noble character, while the meticulous finish demonstrates the high craftsmanship for which Danish manufacturers were renowned. This model's greatest asset is its versatility. For everyday use, it maintains a compact size without dominating the space. Thanks to its extending function, it easily transforms into a full-size table, comfortably seating more people – when extended, it measures 239 cm wide. This solution has remained relevant for decades – it works well for both everyday meals and gatherings with family and friends. Its simple form also makes the table easy to combine with chairs from different periods and manufacturers, creating a cohesive yet unique arrangement.
