For sale is a high-quality, original Mid-Century coffee table from the 1950s/1960s. Due to its exceptional dimensions and warm, honey-colored wood tone, it is an excellent eye-catcher for spacious rooms. It is very likely made of noble cherry wood with an elegant, slightly glossy surface.Special design details:- Legs: The table legs are set back 30 cm inwards and are sharply ground outwards (distinctive 5-edge look). They taper conically from 7 cm at the top to a delicate 2.5 cm at the bottom. On the narrow sides, a beautifully shaped central strut ensures high stability.- Tabletop: High-quality architecture with a downward-sloping Schweizer Kante (edge) (tabletop thickness 2 cm).- Craftsmanship: As a fascinating detail of the original manufacturing, the table legs are marked on one side with the original workshop numbers “39” and “40”. Clear proof of genuine Mid-Century craftsmanship.Dimensions:- Length: 200 cm- Width: 65 cm- Height: 56 cmCondition:The table is in honest, unrestored original condition with a beautiful patina. It has been freshly treated with high-quality carnauba wax. It shows age-related signs of wear: There are smaller nicks and a small burn hole on the tabletop (details see photos).
