Beautiful and massive vintage clear glass vase by Börne Augustsson for Åseda Glasbruk, Sweden.
This model number was designed in 1948 and has been made in a large number of different colors. Intricate "thumb print" three dimensional design expertly manufactured in the Sommerso technique where different colours of glass are layered, in this case - clear. Heavy glass construction gives the vase a strong decorative presence and makes it an attractive collectible example of Swedish Mid-Century design.
