Product description
This mid-century modern ceramic ashtray originates from Denmark, produced during the 1960s. The piece exemplifies the organic forms and experimental glazing techniques characteristic of Scandinavian design from this era. Crafted from ceramic, the object features a distinctive free-form, amoebic silhouette. The surface is finished in a complex, speckled glaze combining tones of mint green, black, and brown. This mottled effect creates a dynamic visual texture that highlights the fluid contours of the design. The ashtray remains in excellent structural condition, retaining its original glossy finish and vibrant colouration. The glaze shows natural variations inherent to the firing process, adding to its unique character. This sculptural object serves as a striking decorative accent for contemporary or vintage-inspired interiors. It functions beautifully as a catch-all dish on a console table or as a standalone art piece on a bookshelf.
