Product description
A beautiful, original vintage Casala armchair from the 50s/60s. An absolute icon of German Mid-Century Modern design. The chair is in fantastic vintage condition and features the authentic, pressed Casala brand mark in the wooden frame. With its sculptural forms, characteristic spindle back, and slanted tapered legs, this is a real eye-catcher. Unique to this piece: This is the more luxurious version with a convex, sprung seat. Underneath the black skai upholstery, there is still the original, authentic interior springing (steel coil springs). This ensures an exceptionally comfortable, resilient seat that is rarely found in this type of spindle chair nowadays!
Features:
Designer/Manufacturer: Casala (West-Germany)
Period: 50s / 60s (Mid-Century Modern)
Material: Solid beech wood frame, comfortable convex seat and back strap upholstered with authentic black skai (artificial leather).
Comfort: Equipped with a high-quality sprung interior (steel springs).
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The wooden frame is structurally very strong. The black upholstery is still completely intact, taut, and free of tears. The springing works excellently.
