Beautiful and large mid-century brass lily flower sculpture or figurine, vintage Hollywood Regency style ashtray in the shape of a flower, the 6 petals are detachable, crafted from brass in the 1960s, unmarked. A nice and original object; the petals can be removed and serve as small separate ashtrays. The whole piece is made of brass, which can be polished to perfection, but as the flower is now, it beautifully displays its age. Cigarette sales reached a peak in the 20th century; people were allowed to smoke in the office, in the cinema, in restaurants, indoors and outdoors. Once women could smoke freely, smoking became a social norm and was generally considered an act of elegance and sophistication. Businessmen in the sixties were rarely seen without a cigarette in their hand. It goes without saying that you needed beautiful smoking accessories on your desk or coffee table. This object is a fine example of such a very beautiful and decorative high-quality smoking accessory, which today can certainly serve another function as well. This item is in very good vintage condition, fully complete, no defects, signs of age consistent with its age; check the photos for more details! Dimensions: 21x20x14cm. Single leaf: 10×4.5x2cm. Weight: 0.652kg.
