Product description
This mid-century handmade coffee table features a striking square top composed of 25 ceramic tiles, each uniquely decorated with pressed botanical motifs - including leaves, stems and foliage - reminiscent of nature's delicate imprint. The reddish-brown ceramic tiles are subtly accented with oxidized green accents, reminiscent of Roger Capron's iconic "Herbier" series. Although not signed, the piece clearly reflects the influence of French or Belgian ceramic art from the 1960s or 1970s.
The tiles are set in a solid oak frame, with beautifully crafted joinery with wooden dowels and a rustic yet refined aesthetic. The table's sturdy base and natural materials make it a highly decorative as well as functional piece, perfect for collectors of mid-century European design or anyone looking for a nature-inspired accent.
