Product description
Original Mid-Century Modern plant stand produced in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, crafted from ash wood and distinguished by its clean architectural construction and slatted top. The stand combines four straight rectangular legs with substantial side rails and a lighter central surface formed by parallel wooden slats supported on rounded crossbars. This contrast gives the piece a particularly attractive geometric rhythm while allowing the natural grain and warm tone of the ash wood to remain a central part of the design. The restrained construction reflects the functionalist character of Czechoslovak modernist furniture of the 1960s, where practical everyday objects were often reduced to simple forms and honest materials. With its compact dimensions, the piece can be used as a plant or flower stand, low side table, display stand or decorative pedestal. Its understated form works equally well in Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern and contemporary interiors.
