The fascinating story behind the technique: Michiel Folkers uses a unique, physical printing technique for this work. A real teddy bear is completely submerged in mahogany brown acrylic ink and then manually printed in one powerful movement onto heavy museum paper.
Due to the deformation and ink build-up of the bear, each print is guaranteed to be unique and can never be exactly reproduced. Numbering & Exclusivity: The work features an official embossment (stamp) on the front with the unique number 120-2-5 [1.1]. This code stands for: The 120th unique teddy bear the artist has used. The 2nd original print with this specific bear.
