Product description
This is an authentic corner sofa from the Togo collection, designed by Michel Ducaroy for the French manufacturer Ligne Roset. Since its introduction in 1973, the Togo has remained a landmark of modern furniture design, celebrated for its revolutionary all-foam construction and distinctive, crumpled silhouette that prioritises comfort.
The piece is constructed entirely from multiple densities of polyurethane foam, creating a supportive yet supple form without a traditional hard frame. It is upholstered in a durable and tactile wide-wale corduroy fabric, presented in a sophisticated olive green colour. The characteristic folds and tufts are meticulously crafted to create the iconic 'shar-pei' aesthetic. As indicated by its label, this piece was produced in France, upholding the heritage of its original manufacturer.
This corner module is presented in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of use consistent with its age. The foam structure remains firm and holds its intended shape, and the corduroy upholstery is clean, vibrant, and free from significant wear. The original fabric and construction are well-preserved, reflecting careful ownership and the enduring quality of Ligne Roset's craftsmanship.
As a modular element, this corner piece can be integrated into a larger Togo seating arrangement or function as a standalone lounge chair in a reading nook or living space. Its timeless design and organic form make it a versatile addition to contemporary, eclectic, and mid-century inspired interiors.
