About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
Offered is a collection of four framed prints by the French artist Michel Canetti. The works date from 1985 to 1988 and represent the characteristic style of fashion illustration of this era. This set captures the dynamic and expressive aesthetic for which Canetti is known.
Each of the four illustrations is set in a custom-made gallery frame of black lacquered wood. The large-format frames are equipped with color-coordinated passe-partouts and inner spacers that accentuate the respective motifs. The prints themselves are made on paper and protected by glass. The provenance of the works can be traced back to a gallery in Hamburg or Düsseldorf in the late 1980s.
The overall condition of the set is good and reflects its age. The prints themselves are very well preserved and have been stored protected from light for over a decade, keeping their colors vibrant. The passe-partouts and frames show signs of wear, which contribute to the vintage character of the ensemble.
This set of four coordinated artworks is ideal as a central element in a living or working area. The pieces harmonize particularly well with interiors in the style of Postmodernism, Memphis, or the 1980s, and set a bold visual accent.
