About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
Floor lamp by the Spanish manufacturer Metalarte, featuring a minimalist white lacquered metal construction. The design consists of a slender tubular stem rising from a weighted circular base, terminating in a shallow bowl-shaped reflector. Metalarte, established in 1932 near Barcelona, became a primary driver of Spanish contemporary lighting design during the 1970s and 1980s. This piece reflects the late 20th-century shift toward high-efficiency halogen technology and reductionist forms that defined the manufacturer's output in this period. Suited to a corner placement in a living space or office to provide ambient, indirect illumination. Good vintage condition. The white lacquer shows minor surface marks and light scuffs to the base and reflector rim, consistent with age and use. Contact us for additional images or schedule a viewing at our Antwerp space.
