Art Deco-style silver-plated household set, created by the famous designer Luc Lanel for Maison Christofle, in an oak wood box.
This refined model perfectly illustrates the encounter between the great tradition of French elegance and the clean, geometric lines of the Art Deco vocabulary.
Luc Lanel, a key figure in 20thᵉ century design, was particularly renowned for his goldsmithing creations for the prestigious liner Normandie, a veritable floating palace and emblem of the Art Deco style, tragically destroyed by fire at Pier 88 in New York harbor.
