Product description
This piece is a sterling silver commemorative medal, awarded by Kodak. It represents a special award for photographic excellence, presented at the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair, a significant event in cultural and technological history. The medal is struck in sterling silver, as indicated by the hallmark on the edge. The obverse features an embossed globe with the inscription "THE WORLD AND ITS PEOPLE" and "KODAK INTERNATIONAL COLOR PICTURE COMPETITION". The reverse is dedicated to the laureate, "JACQUES BETAIN", and is framed by laurel branches with the exhibition dates, 1964-1965.
