About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A vintage Wall light manufactured by the Italian maker Mazzega, a characteristic example of lighting design from the mid-twentieth century. This piece stands out for its use of heavy, sculptural Murano glass, a material for which Venetian glassblowers are renowned.
The lamp is constructed from a thick, square plate of clear 'ice glass' with a textured surface, incorporating vibrant blue glass elements. This glass shade is mounted on a chrome-plated metal base. When lit, the textured glass creates an atmospheric and diffused light effect, beautifully highlighting the blue accents and casting a dynamic pattern on the wall.
This fixture is in good vintage condition, consistent with its age and previous use. The glass is intact and retains its original clarity and color. The lamp is fully functional and represents the quality and craftsmanship of Italian design from the 60s and 70s.
As a striking accent piece, this Wall light is ideal for adding character and ambient lighting to a hallway, living room, or bedroom. The design seamlessly fits into an interior with Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, or an eclectic decor, where it can function both as a light source and as a decorative art object.
