These old stoneware pots are made of stoneware, they were often used in traditional cafeterias and eateries, especially in the Netherlands and Belgium.
These pots have a lid and were used to pump sauces such as mayonnaise and mustard with dishes.
An important feature of these pots was their durability.
The heavy material ensured that they could withstand frequent use and were easy to clean. In addition, the tight lids helped keep sauces fresh and protected them from contaminants.
Later, these pots were replaced by buckets, and a little later they were no longer allowed to be used either.
However, they remain a nostalgic symbol of the past and are still used today for decoration (in kitchens) to create an authentic atmosphere.
This pot is missing the pump, but perhaps someone still has such a pump, which is why it is being offered for a small price.
Last photo shows, as it is completely original.
