Mathilde Alessandra is an Italian artist and designer of light sculptures.
"Model Isolde" was designed by her for the Belgian company -Light- (1969-2013), founded by Paul Gillis in 1969.
Dimensions: 55cm x 55cm x 6cm (W x H x D) per lamp.
-Light Belgium- specialized in architectural lighting projects.
These wall lamps are rare; they originate from a bank building, where they adorned various rooms as works of art for 25 years.
The lamps are made of (full-color) plexiglass and have a lighter-colored strip in the center of the panel through which the light shines diffusely.
Behind the panel is a metal fixture with a 13-watt fluorescent tube. All fixtures are marked with a manufacturer's sticker (Light) and the model name (Isolde).
The panel slides over the fixture and is secured with two small bolts.
These lamps were originally mounted to a wall socket but are ready for free use with a cord and plug.
They can be used as wall or ceiling lamps, or even suspended from steel wires (see the photo). The price is for one lamp; 14 are in stock.
All 14 are identical in design and color.
