About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an authentic masthead ship's lantern from the English brand Griffiths & Sons, converted into an atmospheric lamp.
The manufacturer Eli Griffiths & son was active in Birmingham from 1870-1963; they were the purveyor to the British Navy and railways.
Because 'Ltd' is not on the plate, this lamp dates from before 1920/1930.
This means that this lamp was used in World War 1.
Originally with an oil lamp, which was no longer in it and I don't have it either.
With its 33 cm height and warm appearance, this is an eye-catcher in any interior.
Because I prefer not to ship this item, pick-up is the best option or with a courier. This is to prevent damage!
