This Massive wall lamp from the 1970s is a striking example of Belgian lighting design from that period. The fixture combines a sleek, geometric design with the rich texture of crystal glass, resulting in a fixture that is both functional and decorative. The lamp is crafted from a combination of chrome-plated metal, rosewood, and thick, textured crystal glass. The two glass shades feature a distinctive pointed, star-shaped relief that refracts and diffuses the light in a unique way. The contrast between the cool chrome, the warm wood, and the clear glass gives the lamp a distinct character. The lamp is designed for wall mounting and comes pre-wired.
The fixture is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. Over the years, the materials have developed an authentic patina, which contributes to the object's vintage appearance. The glass shades are intact and the construction is sturdy.
This wall lamp comes into its own perfectly in an interior with vintage or eclectic influences. It is a characterful accent piece for a hallway, living room, or bedroom, where it not only provides atmospheric lighting but also serves as a tangible piece of design history.
This is a vintage item. This means it has been used. Items are not new or perfect, but they are very beautiful! Most vintage items show signs of wear. The extent to which these signs of use are present is stated in the description. Photos are part of this description. Please examine them carefully. Vintage (read: used) items sometimes show color variations, uneven wear, and/or normal wear. Please take this into account when making a purchase.
When shipped, the item will be carefully packed to prevent damage. I ship in recycled and eco-friendly boxes.
