This is the iconic Pipistrello table lamp, model 620, designed by Gae Aulenti for the Italian manufacturer Martinelli Luce. The design, dating from 1965, is a celebrated piece in design history and is known for its silhouette inspired by the wings of a bat.The lamp is made with an opal white methacrylate shade that diffuses a soft and atmospheric light. The telescopic stem of brushed stainless steel allows the height to be adjusted from 70 to 86 centimeters, resting on a white lacquered metal base.
