Product description
The sofa is a sofa bed designed by Martin Visser that was purchased new around 1967-1968. The model is probably the BR 53, a sofa bed with a square tube. The sofa can be extended into a single sofa bed by moving the seating area forward.

The seating area measures 182 cm by 71 cm. The depth of the sofa is approximately 80 cm in sofa mode and approximately 90 cm in sleeping mode (extended). The height of the seating area is approximately 30 cm and the backrest is 70 cm.
The sofa has only been in two locations since it was purchased around 1967 and because the furniture was used very little, the sofa has never been reupholstered. There are some spots on the fabric (see photos), and on the underside there are some tears in the cloth that are only visible when the sofa is tilted. Through these cracks you can view the filling of the seating area, which consists of nosag feathers (see photo). Although the fabric needs to be replaced, the sofa is otherwise in good condition and is comfortable.
