Stunning, handmade ceramic sculpture in the form of a stylized angel, created by the renowned ceramist Mario Klara (born in 1973). This type of modern design is highly prized for its expressive, minimalist form. The artwork originates from the artist's studio in Krakow, Poland. Mario Klara is nationally and internationally known for his unique objects made of refractory clay (chamotte). The sculpture dates from the 21st century (contemporary period) and was built and shaped by hand. The sculpture is crafted from robust chamotte clay and fired at a high temperature of 1080°C. The object stands out due to the powerful contrast in textures. The wings and head feature a rough, unglazed surface with beautifully incised details and the eye motifs on the wings so characteristic of Klara. The monumental, bell-shaped skirt is finished with a high-quality glossy orange and a deep metallic-like silver/brown glaze, creating a beautiful play of light and shadow. Thanks to the wide, round base, the object stands very stably. Artist: Mario Klara (1973)
