There is something in this lantern that evokes harbor quays at dawn, drying nets, the green light filtering through the blown glass. An object that inherently embodies the seaside atmosphere without needing explanation. The body is a slightly bulging cylinder of bottle-green blown glass, held by a metal frame with vertical bars. The lid and base are made of brown turned wood, assembled as two superimposed discs. The handle is made of natural braided rope, sisal or jute, fixed to the frame. The piece has been electrified: a black cable with a slider switch and a two-pin plug. Total height approximately 22-25 cm. Decorative production from the 1960s-1980s, inspired by seaside lanterns and Japanese fishing floats. Placed on a windowsill, a wooden shelf, or a coffee table, it diffuses a warm, green light that transforms the atmosphere of a room. Good general condition, intact glass, sound wood, rope in good condition. Period electrical cable, to be checked before use.
