Statuette of a lady with beautiful headpiece. Mixed media technique. Artist Marijke Kok. Made around 70's.
Having started out in the sixties as a jewellery designer in Rome, Marijke Kok turned to clothing design in seventies. She became well known for her boutique and art gallery in Arnhem. Around that time she started making porcelain fantasy statuettes.
This peticular statuette is made from mix of wood, porcelain and leather. Lovely face features. There are few imperfections on a figurine( please see pictures). Name tag of an artist at the back. Statuette is 35cm tall and 21cm wide at the base.
