Marie-Jeanne van de Velde (MJ), 15.10.1957 is a trained contemporary Flemish artist from Ronse, Belgium. Website ; https:// www.mjmad.be, Arts and Crafts by MJ. instagram/bymjmad. Born with an artistic eye, and a passion for painting, sculpture. jewelry and ceramics she creates under the name MJ. The work can be abstract or figurative. Cobra and Miro are her sources of inspiration. The material can take on an aesthetic or symbolic meaning within the context of the whole work, it can retain something of its original identity. Her career started as a professional painter in 1988 and meanwhile she also became a gifted ceramist who is always experimenting with new materials and techniques.Her works are also exhibited at home and abroad and own gallery in Ronse (B). Each work is authentic and hand-signed.
