Product description
A ceramic plate with a nun in reliëf, where the nun takes the shape of the plate. Atelier Dour was founded in 1947, right after the war and short after taken over by painter Roger Somville and his wife Simone Tits. Their motto was to make unpretentious art inspired mostly by fauna and flora but also everyday life. The movement ran simultaneously with the upcoming of Vallauris in France. Marie-Henriette won a gold medal at the Faenza international ceramics exhibition in 1970.
