The Lucy candlestick was designed by Marcel Wanders for Dutch design label Goods. It is an elegant candlestick with 5 equal arms that is both classic and modern due to its tranquility and quiet beauty. Concerns first version in nickel. The Lucy candlestick is now a design classic and a beautiful example of industrial design. The candlestick is 26 cm high and the diameter is 33 cm.
Marcel Wanders
Marcel Wanders is one of the most famous contemporary Dutch designers. He graduated cum laude from the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Arnhem, having previously been expelled from the Design Academy Eindhoven. He subsequently studied at the Academies in Hasselt, Maastricht and Eindhoven. His designs are characterized by their poetic and conceptual nature. With his own design agency Marcel Wanders Studio, Wanders develops and realizes ideas and products for various clients. The Knotted Chair was Wanders' worldwide breakthrough in which he combined high-tech materials with low-tech production methods. His designs are adventurous, challenging and polarizing
