Marcel NOTEBAERT (Kortrijk 1924 – Kortrijk 1986)
Marcel Notebaert was a Belgian painter and graphic artist. He was born and died in Kortrijk and worked in that city throughout his career. His oeuvre includes paintings, lithographs, and graphic work. Notebaert developed a personal visual language in which figuration and experimentation went hand in hand. He worked with diverse techniques and often used bright color contrasts and layered compositions. See also
