Product description
Ink portrait of a young boy presented under glass in an old gilded wooden frame. The young model is depicted in bust by a fine and stripped-down black line. The face with large eyes forms the center of the composition, while the body is only suggested by a few flexible lines. The drawing, made on paper then fully glued onto vellum paper, is signed "Dumont" at the bottom right. This work is signed Marcel Dumont (1921-1998). The drawing is part of a modern figurative style from the second half of the 20th century. Frame dimensions: 45 × 36 × 2 cm. Drawing dimensions: 31 × 24 cm. Correct vintage condition. The paper shows yellowing, stains, and traces related to time. The gilded frame has rubbing, scratches, and missing parts, notably a visible gap on its lower part. The finishing paper on the reverse is also torn in places. A sensitive and graphic portrait, suitable for a collection wall, an office, or a bohemian-accented interior.
