Product description
This barstool is an elegant adaptation of the world-renowned "Cesca" design by Marcel Breuer. While the original 1928 design focused on standard seating, this high-profile version brings the iconic Bauhaus cantilevered aesthetic to the kitchen island or home bar. This specific piece features a rarer brass-colored finish on the tubular steel frame, offering a warmer, more glamorous alternative to the traditional chrome.
The stool perfectly balances industrial geometry with natural materials, utilizing bentwood frames and classic woven cane inserts for the seat and backrest.
Condition & Character
The stool is in its original vintage condition, displaying a characterful patina that reflects its age and use.
Frame: The tubular steel frame has a beautiful brass-toned finish. It remains structurally stable and comfortable, providing the signature cantilevered "spring" when seated.
Cane & Wood: The natural cane webbing and black-lacquered wooden frames are original. There are visible signs of use throughout; please review the high-resolution photos carefully to see the condition of the wood and the weave.
Functionality: Designed for standard bar height, it features a built-in footrest integrated into the continuous steel frame.
