Marc Remus (born November 28, 1969, in Frankfurt am Main, Hesse) is a German Neo Pop Art artist, painter, illustrator, and writer. He works primarily in mixed media, acrylics, watercolors, tea, and coffee. Remus is known for his cityscapes. He has painted over one hundred cities, mostly in Europe and North America.
In 2002, Remus began creating his first series of cityscapes, which he titled "City Impressions." In 2006, Remus changed his painting style from a more traditional, realistic approach to a colorful Neo Pop Art style, focusing on metropolises around the world. He painted German, American, European, and Japanese cities and called the collection "Fun Cities." In 2009, he expanded both the number of paintings in the series and the title, which was then changed to "Fun Cities & Countries." Today, Remus still works in the Neo-Pop Art style.
