About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is an antique spoon box, crafted around 1880 from mahogany wood. The object represents the craftsmanship of the late 19th century, characterized by the use of rich materials and refined details. The curved lid and the warm, deep color of the wood give the box a classic and elegant appearance.
The box is made of mahogany wood with a high-gloss lacquer finish that accentuates the vibrant grain of the wood. A subtle, light wooden trim runs along the edges as a refined detail. The interior is lined with a soft, green felt, intended to protect silverware or other delicate items. The original lock and its corresponding key are present and functional.
The overall condition of the box is very good, especially considering its age of over a century. The woodwork and the lacquer layer are well preserved and show an authentic patina that contributes to the character of the piece. The construction is solid and the interior lining is intact.
This spoon box is not only functional for storing small cutlery, but also serves as a stylish decorative object. It fits perfectly on a dresser, desk, or in a display cabinet and adds a touch of historical charm to a classic, eclectic, or rural interior.
