Product description
This set of six Smoke dining chairs was designed in 2002 by Maarten Baas for Moooi. The design stands out due to its unconventional approach to form and material, in which a classic silhouette undergoes a radical transformation.
Each chair is manufactured by carefully burning the wooden frame until it is almost charred. Subsequently, the material is treated with epoxy resin to fix the structure and ensure durability. The seat and backrest are upholstered in black leather, finished with decorative nails. The chairs feature a distinct black color and display the unique texture of the burnt wood.
The set is in good condition, commensurate with its age and the specific production process. The chairs are fully functional and retain their characteristic appearance.
